Created account for Mike Ramsey in the staff\lab context. Also, created a home directory for him on the staff\home volume.

Seems as though the fix that I "stumbled across" didn't work on the workstion Andra was trying to complete. The best way to remedy this we thought was to continue using the 4.83 client.

Andra called about the new client (4.9). The "Workstation only" box was check and wouldn't go away on reboots. I stumbled across a fix. Under Novell Client Properties -> Advanced Login -> I unchecked the "Workstation Only" box, logged out and logged back in. After that I checked the box again. After that, subsequent reboots don't have the box checked.

Tried to get a full backup of Student2\Ghost: However, each time I try this, the server abends. It may be due to the NIC that I'm using on that server. I'll try to remember to switch to the other NIC next time I'm in McVey.

Bonnie Vanover contacted me about user rmbatc0 not being able to use AutoCAD. The error that was reported was "The error code is 8804. He can view email and user other programs but when he tried to use AutoCad 2004 he gets the error message Invalid Drive h:\ Error 1327"

I used NWAdmin to give the account rights to their home directory. I've seen several times that if I take away rights and them give them right back, that things will clear up. It's like the account just needs something to make it re-sync.

I'm setting this blog up to keep up with things at work. So many times I work on a server problem and never get things written down. I'm hoping this will be a better way of tracking things.
